Oral Dysplasia Program
的 UCSF Oral Dysplasia Program cares for patients who have been diagnosed with or show signs of oral dysplasia – a precancerous condition characterized by red, white or red-和-white lesions involving the mouth, 舌头或嘴唇. We also care for patients who have been diagnosed with oral dysplasia or oral cancer in the past, as well as for patients at higher risk of developing these conditions. 的 latter includes patients with certain congenital or genetic disorders, such as Fanconi anemia 和 dyskeratosis congenita, 和 those who have received solid organ transplants or hematopoietic stem cell transplants.
我们的团队 includes leading specialists from the UCSF 牙科学院 和 Helen Diller Family Comprehensive 癌症 Center. 在一起, we offer the full spectrum of care, including monitoring at-risk patients, disease management 和 treatment for those with the condition, 和 long-term follow-up. A board-certified oral 和 maxillofacial pathologist reviews all biopsies, a multidisciplinary review board assesses complex cases, 和 our entire staff works closely with experts at other UCSF clinics to ensure that we tailor your treatment to your unique needs.
病人 may also have the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge research using promising new imaging methods or treatments, which may not be available elsewhere.
